Community Foundation Network
The philanthropic “marketplace” is growing significantly
as well as ever changing. The
Community Foundation Network (CFN) supports Community Foundations
which are the largest independent funders of community activity in the
UK and with 56 members the network reaches 94% of the population. Community
Foundations support the giving of over 12,000 clients including long-term
endowed funds totalling £158m (March 2007).
CFN asked Martin Farrell to develop a project
for Community Foundations which came to be called ‘Know and be
Known’ – know the impact of what you are doing and tell donors
and other stakeholders about it. Working with CFN staff from a standing
start, an on-line toolkit was developed and then more and more Foundations
started to get involved with knowing and being known ..![]()
