Red Cross and London 2012 Games
The Red Cross and
the Olympics are both international movements. Following the decision
to bring the Olympics to London the Red Cross wanted to get itself ready
to make a special contribution to the success of the Games.
Being busy with the emergencies of the day, the Red Cross needed outside help to discover what its special contribution could be.
Drawing on his involvement with developing the 2012 Volunteering Strategy
(to which some 150 organisations contributed) as Vice Chair of Student
Volunteering England Martin Farrell helped the Red Cross crystalise
what they could offer to make the London Games the best Games ever
